ADDICTION SERVICES CLINICIAN - BACHELOR OR MASTER DEGREE - FULL TIME - Greenville, Michigan

 

Our Addiction Services Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to clients and families. They provide clinical leadership to case managers or recovery coaches that are assisting in the case and is responsible for the assessment, person-centered treatment plan, quarterly reviews and any therapeutic services they deliver. In addition, the clinician is responsible for the authorization and reauthorizations for the case.

Duties And Responsibilities

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Clinician is accountable to the Supervisor for providing clinical services to clients and families. He/she is to provide case clinical leadership to case managers or recovery coaches that are assisting in the case. The clinician is responsible for the assessment, treatment plan, quarterly reviews and any therapeutic services he/she delivers. The clinician is responsible for the authorization and reauthorizations for the case.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Develop a person-centered treatment plan that focuses on addressing the needs of the client to include family engagement when applicable
  2. Coordinate care for the client with family and other involved individuals, i.e. school personnel, probation officer, mentor, DHHS, medical personnel, etc
  3. Provide individual, family therapy, and case management, as needed to each client/family on his/her caseload
  4. Market and network with community partners and current/potential referral sources. Examples of this include but are not limited to attending community collaborative meetings, distributing marketing material, providing a description of services provided
  5. Complete all service plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and all other necessary documentation in a timely manner
  6. Represent Samaritas mission and vision with community partners. Exercise excellence and integrity as the job requirements are fulfilled
  7. Monitor the quality of overall treatment services to clients on his/her caseload; and evaluate the adequacy of these services to meet treatment objectives
  8. Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings, therapist meetings, and any others as deemed necessary by the SUD Leadership
  9. Represent Samaritas mission and vision with community partners. Exercise excellence and integrity as the job requirements are fulfilled
  10. Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions

 

 

Professional Growth

 

  • Possess a working knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards and work to assure compliance with such standards
  • Utilize educational opportunities and resources offered by the agency and through the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise, (conferences, trainings, peer supervision)

 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field, from an accredited institution
  • Two years of clinical experience working with SUD clientele preferred
  • Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team preferred.

Experience

 

  • Minimum one year SUD counseling experience preferred
  • Minimum Experience working on a team preferred
  • Familiarity with SUD documentation preferred

Additional Work Requirements

 

  • Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
