Duties And Responsibilities

Builds resources and capacity to increase the ability to accept placements and expand services provided for Refugee Programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Devise, implement and evaluate strategies and recruitment plan to assure adequate foster homes, providers and interpreters.
  2. Initiate contact with public entities and interested parties to recruit prospective foster parents, per strategy.
  3. Establish and maintain a current contact file with recruitment sources, prospective foster homes data files, and mailing lists.
  4. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with religious/community groups and key individuals to increase awareness of need for foster parents and organization's services.
  5. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of recruitment strategies; compile statistical data related to service delivery outcomes and measurements. Provide reports and data as requested.
  6. Develop and circulate promotional materials in coordination with Communications and supervisor.
  7. Collaborate with Communications and supervisor to craft press releases promoting foster care awareness and recruitment.
  8. Create and present presentations that promote foster care awareness and recruitment to public groups, under supervisor guidance. 
  9. Participate in conferences, program planning, and outcomes.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Community Organization, Social work or related field.

 

Experience

  • Two years community outreach experience preferred.

 

Additional Work Requirements

  • Unrestricted Michigan driver's license with good driving record. Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting clients; proof of current automobile insurance.
