Join our Refugee Services team as a Clinician Team Lead, where your clinical expertise and leadership will help shape the future of trauma-informed care for some of our most vulnerable populations.

In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day supervision to a dedicated team of therapists while also delivering direct treatment and counseling services. You’ll guide clinical decision-making, ensure service quality, and foster professional growth—all within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

What You Bring:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
  • Michigan limited or full licensure
  • Two years of counseling experience with children and families
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Trauma-Focused CBT training a plus

Duties And Responsibilities

Provides day-to-day supervision to assigned therapists and also provides treatment and counseling services to children, families and care givers involved in the child welfare and mental health system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide on-going leadership to staff including coordinating daily operations and activities related to clinical services. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, including, interviewing and hiring. Assist in preparation and implementation of relevant professional development, training and performance management.
  2. Assist therapists in making treatment decisions in relation to direct services. Audit case records monthly to ensure completeness, compliance with prescribed services and adherence to accreditation standards.
  3. Monitor service delivery to ensure client treatment plan needs are attained.
  4. Monitor staff productivity, assisting in credentialing process for billing; review and process clinical notes and encounter forms for billing.
  5. Assist in maintaining information and data management systems, ensuring regular updates as required.
  6. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, referral sources and community partners.
  7. Carry a caseload to provide a range of clinical interventions to individuals, families and groups using acceptable and appropriate treatment methodologies within evidenced based practices whenever possible.
  8. Assume responsibility for all clinical intervention and documentation for assigned caseload, to include: intake, assessment, treatment plan and progress and discharge.
  9. Provide clinical consultation and back up for clinicians on a 24/7 basis.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
  • Current limited licensure by the State of Michigan required (full licensure preferred.)
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry preferred.
  • Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) preferred.
  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training preferred.

 

Experience

  • Two years counseling experience with children and families.
  • Experience with evidences based practices.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

 

Additional Work Requirements

  • Travel to and provide services in outpatient and outreach settings required.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record; reliable ongoing personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served; current automobile registration and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Scheduling flexibility with the ability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends if needed.
