What You’ll Do

  • Create a warm, family-like atmosphere built on trust and consistency
  • Support youth in daily routines, including meal prep, medication administration, and developing independent living skills
  • Lead and participate in engaging activities that build confidence and connection
  • Transport youth safely to appointments and community outings
  • Occasionally monitor overnight activity and ensure a secure environment
  • Work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays (with an added $1.00/hr weekend premium!)

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • A willingness to learn and become certified in CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation techniques
  • Experience in direct care, mental health, or working with vulnerable populations is a plus—but compassion and willingness to grow matter most

Additional Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation with current insurance and registration
  • Ability to safely transport youth as needed

Duties And Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision of youth in a residential setting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Establish a family-like environment in the residence that includes modeling supporting behaviors and expectations
  2. Assist youth with participating in daily schedule and routine, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication administration, developing independent skills, and preparing and organizing activities
  3. Provide transportation for youth to appointments according to outlined safety rules
  4. Monitor overnight activity at the home

Qualifications

Job Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR and first aid certified

Experience

 

  • Direct care experience in a mental health field or working with vulnerable adults preferred

 

Additional Work Requirements

 

  • Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record, proof of current registration and automobile insurance required; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served required
